Aquila Heights Guest House is easy to find from all directions from the A35 Dorchester bypass. Just follow the brown tourist signs for “Maiden Castle”.

Stay on the A35 to turn on to the B3147 at the roundabout junction by Dorchester Town Football Club’s Weymouth Avenue stadium.

Maiden Castle Road is then the first turning left from this approach road into Dorchester.

Aquila Heights Guest House is about 550yds along on the right hand side, on the facing corner of the second turning on the right into Florence Road.

From Dorchester Town Centre, follow the Weymouth signs.

Maiden Castle Road is then the third turning on your right after the traffic lights by Maumbury Rings in Weymouth Avenue.

We have private parking available for 5 cars and no yellow line restrictions on street parking locally.

ROAD:

The main East / West A35 Trunk Route provide fast road access with links from all directions. A37 from the North-West from Yeovil and the A354 from the North-East from Salisbury (continues south to Weymouth)

Dorchester South Station is on the Waterloo/Weymouth line.
Dorchester West Station is on the Bristol/Weymouth line

Both railway stations about a 10 minute walk and 2 minutes in a taxi from Aquila Heights Dorchester South Railway Station is also the bus station - Taxis meet every train

We offer easy parking with everything provided for an overnight stay - No need to unpack or unload your car. Delicious freshly made packed breakfast or lunch for your journey can be requested in lieu of breakfast for an extra early morning start

Monkey World
Monkey World is 14 miles east of Dorchester (20 – 25 minutes drive via A35 or A352). The postal district Wareham but Longthornes is actually about one mile North of Wool Location

Monkey World is also accessible from Dorchester by Train and Bus to Wool from Dorchester South Station for Bus and Train - about an 8 minute walk from Aquila Heights Guest House

Wessex Trains from Dorchester South Station to Wool, is about a 10 minute journey running every ½ hour Monday to Friday and every hour Saturdays and Sunday

Monkey World has its own transport schedule from Wool to Longthornes throughout the summer.
