We’ll be raising money for charity this summer. Every night during our peak season, we’ll be donating £1 to our charity of the month for every room occupied by guests. Each of our chosen charities has some connection to our guest house.
During May half term week and throughout June, we’ll be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society. We both lost parents to dementia, so this cause will always be close to our hearts.
Throughout July, we’re supporting the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. The helicopter regularly flies over Aquila Heights on rescue missions to the hospital, and we appreciate its importance to the rural community of Dorset around us.
We are supporting our local hospital itself during August, and will be donating to the Dorset County Hospital Charity. The hospital have been brilliant in looking after some of our guests – and ourselves – over our three years here.
Finally, in September, we’ll be fundraising for the Weldmar Hospice. We often have guests staying who are visiting family and friends at the hospice, and we always hear brilliant feedback of the work they do for the community.
